Abstract

Jejunal diverticulosis is one of today's hard-to-diagnose disorders, despite the use of modern imaging techniques, due to its rare occurrence and the diversity of symptoms and physical examination findings. Particularly in cases presenting with jejunal diverticulosis perforation, morbidity and mortality rates associated with delayed diagnosis remain high. Therefore, unexplained acute abdomen should be considered among its underlying causes mainly in elderly patients, and surgical treatment should be performed as quickly as possible. This article presents three jejunal diverticulosis perforation patients who have undergone surgical treatment.
