MANDIBULA RECONSTRUCTION WITH VASCULARISED ILIAC CREST GRAFT

Abstract
Vascularized iliac crest has been utilized for the repair of hemimandibulectomy defects as a same stage procedure in four patients, reconstruction was accomplished with the end to end anastomosis of deep circumflex iliac artery and vein to facial artery and vein. In all patients, seven days after the operation Tc99 scintingraphy revealed that blood supply to the grafts are average 3.71 times more that the normal hemimandibulas.
