Abstract

The arterial blood suply to an orthotopic hepatic allograft is usually provided by an end to end anastomosis between the recipient common hepatic artery and the donor celiac axis. Anomalies or inadequacies of recipient hepatic arteries may require that the basic technique be modified. An interposition arterial graft between the recipient's Infrarenal or supraceliac aorta and the donor celiac axis is frequently used. In 2 of the 10 liver transplants, performed in Istanbul Medical Faculty, we have used the recipient's splenic artery as an inflow
