Abstract
The missed foreign bodies in the tissues after trauma can cause serious problems afterwards. A 47-years old male patient presented with pain and swelling at the right inguinal region. A foreign body was found to be still present after a trauma that took place two years ago and was extracted with no difficulty by surgery. The foreign body found was a piece of wood about 15 cm long. It must be kept in mind that a piece of a foreign body might be present after a penetrating trauma. A detailed history of the patient must be obtained and a complete physical examination should be performed both at presentation and the follow-ups.
