Abstract

Medical practicing and performing a scientific investigation are sometimes a dilemma. The most important practice is to perform harmonic scientific experiments without harming the clinical or laboratory subjects. Surgical publishing is one of the most important steps of academic promotion. If lucky, a young surgeon can learn the subtlety about the issue from a more experienced colleague. But mostly the young surgeon is not that much lucky and should pass through a number of rejections in trying to get the appropriate knowledge of surgical publishing. A case report is usually the starting point and in time, review articles, meta analyses and experimental studies are the possible sequence of articles to come. Special ethic problems related with scientific investigations or publishing can emerge. Publishing the same article in both an international and national journal is an ethic problem. Publishing in another language has special problems to be deal with. Paying attention to investigation and publication ethics will protect the author and subjects from unpleasant circumstances.
