Abstract

The associations of human diseases and particular HLA types are known (Behçet's disease B5, BR7 Reiter's syndrome and Ankylosan Spondilitis etc). We tried to show the relationship between gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas and HLA system in Turkish population. We investigated HLA DR and ABC antigens on adenocarcinoma cells of GI tract and normal volunteer (22 patients and 160 normals), We found that GI tract carcinomas were associated with HLA DR 11 (p<0.02) and HLA B67 (p<0.01).
