Abstract
Gastric volvulus is a condition with a high mortality rate, for which an immediate intervention may be needed. A 19 year-old male with a diagnosis of acute abdomen who had been intubated recently was referred to our clinic. Physical examination at first sight revealed extreme distention on abdomen. An operation was started immediately and gastric volvulus with a perforation located on fundus was observed. The aim of this paper is to remind gastric volvulus as an etiological entity for acute abdomen by representing this case that resulted with mortality.
