Abstract

The mortality of a.mesenterica superior embolism remain relatively high. The surgical resection of the involved intestinal segment was the treatment of choice but today there is great tendency to use vasodilator agents pre and postoperatively combined with embolectomy. In this experimental study, we used streptokinase in a.mesenterica superior embolism systemically and the results revealed that streptokinase prevented the intestines from Ischemia by releasing the occlusion.
