Abstract

For 40 years spleens saving procedures are commonly used for the splenic injuries. Modem surgical techniques, diagnostic procedures and sophisticated intensive care possibilities lead their widespread use. In this report 13 cases of splenic injuries, treated by nonoperative method (2 cases), splenorraphy (9 cases), ligation of lineal artery (1 case) and partial splenectomy (1 case) are presented. Literature is reviewed.
